Ora House | Archier + Studio A.MI | Melbourne, Australia

Ora House reflects natural materiality, open spaces and the blurred lines between architecture and landscape.

The home was designed to settle into its surroundings and evolve with the landscape over time. Materials are allowed to feel honest and alive, creating a space shaped by its environment and the people who live within it.

Throughout the home, our Straight Slim Cabinet range, Straight Pulls and Edge Pulls appear in solid sandcast silicon bronze, forming part of this natural material palette.

In nature, surfaces are never static. Sand dunes shift with the wind, tree bark thickens and cracks over decades, and river stones slowly smooth. These changes are continual, always in a state of becoming.

This philosophy deeply influences our own design ethos. We don’t aim to freeze an object in a state of 'perfection'. Instead, we embrace the marks and movement that come with time. Free from secondary finishes, our bronze develops a rich patina as it interacts with its environment, making each piece increasingly individual to the place it inhabits.

There is something special about being part of projects where this philosophy towards design and materiality extends from the architecture through to the smallest details.
