Escutcheons surround the keyhole on a door, providing a tidy finish and protecting the door from damage caused by the key. Our escutcheons are available in three shapes: Square, Round, and Rectangular, and four functions: Euro Profile, Oval Profile, Turn, and Emergency Release. Made to Order: Our products are made to order. Please allow a lead time of 6-8 weeks for production.
A ‘Living’ Finish: We celebrate the authentic patina of solid bronze. To enhance the natural ageing process, we apply a light patina that will respond to its environment and age over time. We don’t apply artificial 'finishes.’ Instead we embrace the natural, rumbled state of silicon bronze.
Unique Variations: Our products are cast in bronze. Each item will have its own character telling the story of its alchemy. From molten metal to machining and hand finishing, rather than concealing the cast texture, we embrace it.

The Cylinder is the component that holds the key barrel and slides through the lock. When turned by the key or turn, it throws the locking bolt. Using a readily available Euro Profile Key/Turn Cylinder requires two BSB Euro Profile Escutcheons.
To determine the correct cylinder length, add twice the thickness of our escutcheons to the door thickness. Our Round, Square 54, and Rectangular Escutcheons are 9mm thick.
For example: (9mm+9mm) + door thickness = required cylinder length
Choose the cylinder length that is equal to or greater than this, because if the Cylinder is shorter than required it will not turn freely.

For an elegant touch on your entry door, use a Cylinder Turn Adapter from Chant Productions, which allows you to have our cast bronze Turn on the inside. For this setup, you will need:
- 1 x BSB Euro Profile Escutcheon
- 1 x BSB Turn with an 8mm spindle
We can supply Cylinder Turn Adapters, but it is critical to get your door measurements correct. Please contact us to discuss.
When choosing a Cylinder Turn Adapter made by Chant Productions add 5mm to the spindle side ie. for a 1241 Euro Profile Cylinder Turn Adapter / Key 31mm / Turn side should be 36mm . This ensures the spindle will have enough contact with our cast bronze Turn.

Turns can be used in various ways, such as on an entry door to retract a latch or with a Cylinder Turn Adapter. Technical drawings will be available soon. Turns can also be used with our Emergency Release for a Privacy lock. We can supply Turns machined for either an 8mm or 5mm spindle, and also a Flat Bar, depending on what your lock requires.
